Percussionist Julio Cesar Mena, produces beats under the moniker GRVSRS. Influenced by the sample chopping styles of J Dilla, Madlib & Knxledge and following in the footsteps of the eclectic-jazz experiments of Flying Lotus, Mena makes use of the latest in percussion technology for studio/live performance in place of traditional MIDI controllers, adding an organic feel to electronic based music.
